Sometimes I Want to Punch My Generation in the Face

So...HowsTheLiving.com is now live.  And President Obama is here in Memphis today (!!!!).  And the Grizzlies just finished up a crazy-ass, never-seen-anything-like-it NBA season.  And the river's slowly receding.  And there are about a hundred other things I could write about today...

But I'll be damned if it's not one of those rare, rare days when I look at my keyboard and think, 'I want nothing to do with you right now.'  So instead I'll lazily post this video which made me want to vomit.

Happy Monday!

  1. I was soooo proud of BTW! Every single NPR hourly news report mentioned that President Obama was there and how wonderful the school is doing. I especially liked that they focused on how this poor public school enacted positive reforms and was successful - so now let's do that all over the country!

I know that's not what you posted about, but I had to add my thoughts : )

  2. Well, that was definitely the most exciting part of the post! The whole city had been cheering those kids on and there was a lot of excitement here when they won. :) I watched his speech live on WMCTV 5 and it was incredible (as usual!). Pretty damn exciting day here in Memphis!! :D

  3. What's wrong with people?! HOW don't you know the Fab Four? Unbelievable...

  4. FOR REAL!!!! I do not understand this at all. In my mind, this is basically the same thing as not knowing that the earth is round. People should be born with a certain amount of knowledge in tact, and being able to name all four Beatles should be one of those things. :)

  5. They were asked who that "Fab Four" are, and how many members were in the Beatles. Five!? Really. Really?

  6. IT HURTS TO THINK ABOUT. :( (Although, I guess if you're so out of it you would think there were five people in the Fab Four, then I shouldn't judge you as representative of the general public in terms of intellect. And yet...nonetheless!!)

  7. hahaha I have to admit: if someone would pop a camera right in my face asking me about something I'd sure know any other given time I would have no idea in this very moment
