Bond. James Bond.

How did it happen that the newest Bond movie was focused around cyber-terrorism but managed to be the most pared-down, old school, classy, down-to-Earth, vintage-feeling Bond movie ever made in history?!

Who knows!  But it was a good time!  And there was man-on-man sexual tension at one point!

I give it two thumbs up.

Because there is nothing but truth in that statement.

  2. LOL! Still doesnt make me want to see a bond movie... but it does make me wonder was the tension with Bond and someone else or two other characters entirely?

Also, speaking of that... have you seen Savages?

    1. I have not seen Savages! Should I??

And the tension was between Bond and another character (!). It only lasted about 10 seconds...but it was a super-intense 10 seconds! It was actually a little weird, but in an awesome way. :D (I forgot you weren't a Bond person!! :))

    2. Oh it was just a very interesting love dynamic. She has two boyfriends, and those boyfriends are best friends. But not gay.. but VERY close and still very much love each other. Made for a couple of interesting scenes...

    1. I think you'll really enjoy it! The next time we talk after you've seen it, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the "vintage" aspect of it. It kind of felt like an old movie to me! But in a good way... :)

(And I'm totally with you on your comment to Sam about the awesomeness of Daniel Craig. He continues to hit it out of the park!)

  4. And Sam, Daniel Craig is the best bond ever! I hated Bond movies before him. Casino Royale is definitely worth seeing.

But I do like the international spy/thriller genre, so I'm biased.
