...34! I would have called her, after having sent her a card (she always sent me packages for my birthday, but I never did better than a card), or maybe I would have just texted, because that's what people do now.

However I sent her birthday wishes, I wouldn't have thought twice about it. But now I do nothing except think twice - more than twice - every eighth of March.
